Lovin' Our Bodies Motivations

Happy Monday, ladies! We have another guest motivator today to get our week started off on the right foot.

Today's quotes come from actor/host/model, Billy Freda. You may have seen Billy on some of your favorite romance novels. You can check out his website here: www.billfreda.com I'll venture a guess and say he's been to the gym once or twice. Hmm, what do you think? Maybe three times?

So here's the motivational quote Billy sent:

"What the mind can perceive, the body can achieve."

I like that. Short. To the point. And very, very true.

But wait folks, that's not all.

Here are a few more words of wisdom from our guest motivator. "Exercise & sex are proven to be the two best stress relievers. Hence, ride your trainer for an hour a day!"

If you've ever met Billy, you're not surprised by this at all. LOL I thought you might enjoy the laugh.

I hope everyone gets off to a great start this week. How was your weekend? Any new plans heading into this week? Anybody need us to get out the pom poms?

Wow, would you believe my trainer said the exact same thing? Neither would I. :lol That 25-year-old pup probably thinks I'm ancient, although he's too sweet to say so.

I doubt very seriously he thinks you're anywhere close to ancient. LOL!

LOL Talk about motivation! I love that one. Too cute.

I missed checking in on Friday. I also missed my exercise too:( I spent a good portion of the day in a gym in Silver Springs with a very hot firefighter and a super sexy DEA agent. Does that count?

I redeamed myself, however, on Saturday and Sunday with some serious yard work. I even posted it on my blog along with pictures http://blogs.myspace.com/tonya_ramagos cause I'm so proud of it! I think I found muscles I didn't know I had too.

I haven't made it to my workout this morning yet. Still having that boosting cup of coffee:) But I'm headed that way.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Oh, and Raina, you are so not ancient!

Wow, Tonya, you did do some yard work! Hunky firefighters and DEA agents always count in my book. :)

Have a great workout today. Let us know if that coffee gives you a boost.

I just got back from my daily five miles and it's stinkin' hot out there. Welcome to Florida! The snakes and alligators are out in full force now, too. Another black racer almost gave me a heart attack. Luckily I haven't had to dodge any rattlesnakes yet. So who's ready to come visit me and go for a walk? LOL And did I mention I live IN the city limits of Tampa? My neighborhood is a wildlife preserve so we've got more than our share of furry and scaly things.

WHOA! Now that's my kind of motivation :) Hubba hubba! Thanks Wendi! lol.

Unfortunately due to allergies and fatigue, I didn't get much accomplished this weekend. I'm looking forward to my doc's appointment this Friday to address my anemia and Vitamin D deficiency. I am moving into week 2 of eating gluten-free and have to say that it's getting easier. I find myself not as hungry and literally craving fruits and veggies.

That isn't normal for me, lol. I used to crave all things starch. I do have one starch I snack on - Honey-nut Chex cereal - which is gluten free, and tastes way too good :)

Waving hi to Wendi, Raina, and Tonya! :) And thanks again for the great motivation Wendi!

Ann, I'm glad the gluten-free eating is getting easier. Allergies are a pain, and fatigue is the worst. I hope the doctor has more answers for you Friday.

Luckily, I don't have to deal with allergies much, but this morning my dog pulled me up close to an oak tree and I started sneezing my head off. Pollen must be really high right now.

Honey-nut chex are yummy! :)

Tonya, good for you to get all that yard work done. I have no doubt it will look fantabulous when you get your lawn in. :)

I have a huge lawn, but no time to do anything with it. I told the 12-year-old this is the year he starts mowing it. He negotiated a $2 raise in his allowance. Little capitalist!

Ann, I'm glad the specialized diet is getting easier. Fruits and veggies are a good thing to crave!

I've been feeling so poorly lately, I decided to treat myself to a piece of cake last night. (I haven't had sweets of any kind in about a month, and I've even phased out soft drinks.) Big mistake. I felt sick after I ate it. Must be because I'm not used to the sugar anymore. :lol Ah, well.

Good luck with your doctor's appointment on Friday!

P.S. Have to snicker, because my "word verification" to post is "mated."
