How I became Janet

I thought you might get a kick out of this. I went to get my hair done yesterday. I had completely planned to walk in and sit down like I do every six weeks while my stylist mixed up the very same shades of highlights and lowlights to disguise my "sparklers." I expected to get my hair trimmed into the very same style I've been wearing for a year or so now.

Then, on my way out the door, my husband says, "Why don't you do something completely different this time."

So I did.

I went in long and blonde. I came out short and brunette. My husband loves it. My son - not so much. His mouth dropped open when he saw me. Then the quick-witted little bugger said, "Janet, what have you done with my mother?" Janet??? He said, "You don't look anything like Wendi, so I'm not calling you Mom. I'm calling you Janet." So now in my house I'm Janet.

Being Janet's not so bad. My husband decided he wanted to take his new girlfriend Janet out to dinner. And I'm actually liking the short hair much more than I thought I would. I'm even thinking of going back to get it a little shorter.

So here's to Janet, and her sassy new "do." LOL! I wonder if I need new clothes. Would Janet wear the same old stuff I've been wearing? Hardly seems fair, does it? Do you think Janet cooks dinner? Oh wait, Wendi hardly ever does that...

LOL, Wendi/Janet! What a terrific story! And how exciting to have a completely new look! Maybe it's time for a change around here, too ;)

Thanks! You'll have to let me know if there's a new you in the future. :)

I'll be posting pictures when I get back from RWA Nationals next week. I guess we'll see then, whether or not I need to keep the Janet. :)

I never saw you except in pictures with the old "do" but I really love the Janet look. And, yes, I think that Janet wouldn't want Wendi's old wardrobe, so you certainly need a new one.
