This week I read
The Sins of Their Fathers by Emma Wildes and Lara Santiago. The two stories in the book are sequels to previous titles by both authors.
The first story, "Can't Say No" is a sexy historical by Emma Wildes. I was totally absorbed in this deliciously scandalous story. Emma's writing style is melodious, and there's an element of suspense that keeps the plot twisting right to the end. Wade and Helen are perfectly matched. She's not afraid to go after what she wants, and he doesn't invest much in the rumors that follow him. I really fell for these characters.
The second story is "Kissed by Fate" by Lara Santiago. Lara writes very hot futuristic stories, and this one was no exception. The kisses alone will melt you - will they ever! Lordy! One kiss seals the fate of Lizzie and Alex because in his world, a kiss has a much different meaning than it does in ours. If you've read
The Tiburon Duet, you definitely don't want to miss this one. I really didn't know how the author was going to pull the characters together in the end. They seemed destined to lose their chance at true love, and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see them overcome the hurdles that kept them apart. This was a very good read!
